Nestled in the lakeside community of Baddeck, the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site of Canada is a tribute to one of the most influential men of the 19th and 20th centuries, Alexander Graham Bell.
This site contains the world’s largest collection of artefacts, photographs, and personal mementos of Dr. Bell, inventor and humanitarian. An innovative thinker whose aviation accomplishments along with those of his colleagues J.A.Douglas McCurdy, F. W. 'Casey' Baldwin, Lieutenant Thomas Selfridge and Glenn Curtiss will receive special focus during the 2009 year-long 100th anniversary celebrations of the first powered flight in Canada and the British Empire.
