Day 1
Sydney Airport to Ben Eoin – 40 km
Depart the airport and head southwest through Sydney to Ben Eoin. Ben Eoin is home to all that you need in one place, The Lakes at Ben Eoin Golf Club & Resort. Play this beautiful course that overlooks the scenic Bras d’Or Lake.

- Grab a coffee at the Gaslight Café on the way to Ben Eoin
- Check-in at The Lakes at Ben Eoin Golf Club & Resort
- Shoot 18 holes

Day 2
Ben Eoin to Dundee – 87 km
Start your morning early by grabbing breakfast at Founders and an extra coffee for the road. Drive southwest along the Bras d’Or Lake to yet another amazing course that sits on the shore of the Bras d’Or Lake. Dundee Resort and Golf Club is another destination that has everything you need all in one place.
- Depart The Lakes Golf Club and drive along Route 4 to Dundee
- Stop into St. Peter’s along the drive to Dundee for lunch at MacBouch Restaurant and Lounge, Louie’s Cozy Corner or the Bras d’Or Lakes Inn
- Check-in at Dundee Resort and Golf Club
- Shoot 18 holes and savour the view from the top of the course

Day 3
Dundee to Inverness – 102 km
Drive through Port Hawkesbury and along Canada’s Musical Coast to two of the top-rated golf courses in Canada. Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links overlook the Atlantic Ocean so you can play golf while savouring the salt air of the ocean and watch the lobster boats return to Inverness Harbour with your lobster!
- Depart Dundee and drive through West Bay to Port Hawkesbury and then cruise the coast from Port Hastings to Inverness
- Stop in at local treasure, The Red Shoe Pub for a great lunch
- Check-in at Cabot Cape Breton
- Play Cabot Links and watch the sun sink over the Atlantic Ocean as you finish your round
- Dine at Panorama at Cabot Links
- Turn in for the night and dream about playing Canada’s #1 course, Cabot Cliffs tomorrow!
Day 4
Inverness
You’re staying put for the day so be sure to explore Inverness and the area. Stop by the Glenora Inn and Distillery for a tour of Canada’s first single malt whisky distillery, a must-see for any whisky lover.
- Take a morning to sleep in
- Sit down for breakfast at the Coal Miner’s Café
- Stroll the Inverness Beach Boardwalk
- Grab lunch at Glenora Inn and Distillery and pick up a bottle of North America’s first single malt whisky, Glen Breton
- Play a round of golf at Cabot Cliffs
- Dine at Route 19 Brewing and watch the sunset from the patio
- Sample a few drams of Glen Breton and turn in for the night
Day 5
Inverness to Chéticamp 56 km
Wake up and hit the road along the world-famous Cabot Trail to play Le Portage Golf Club in Chéticamp, nestled between the highlands and the Atlantic Ocean.
- Wake up and depart Inverness
- Grab lunch at The Annex or Route 19 Brewing before setting out for the Cabot Trail
- Drive north along the Cabot Trail
- Check into your accommodations at a variety of great options in Chéticamp
- Play Le Portage Golf Club
- Dine at L’abri Restuarant and Bar and watch the sun go down with a local beer
- Get ready for a day of driving along the most scenic locales and Highland Links, Canada’s only true links-style course
Day 6
Chéticamp to Ingonish – 115 km
Grab a coffee and your camera as you drive around the Cabot Trail through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and be sure to stop at the look-offs along the Cabot Trail to Ingonish!
- Wake up with a coffee and camera in hand
- Pick up a Cape Breton Highlands National Park permit in the Chéticamp Visitor Centre
- Grab some photos at the Veteran’s Monument at Cap Rouge
- Drive across the highlands to Cape North and grab lunch at Danena’s Bakery and Bistro
- Arrive in Ingonish, check into your accommodations
- Play the historic Highland Links
- Turn in for the night and get ready for your last day of golf on Cape Breton Island
Day 7
Ingonish to Baddeck – 93 km
Wake up to your last day on the Island but start it off with a view that’s hard to beat! Take a gondola ride up Smokey Mountain before continuing on the Cabot Trail to Bell Bay golf course in picturesque Baddeck.
- Wake up and ride Atlantic Canada’s first gondola at Cape Smokey
- Continue southward along the Cabot Trail as you drive around the highlands to Baddeck
