On Oct 17 ( tentatively ) a Best of Nova Scotia Market will be held. Sellers come from all over Nova Scotia to sell their products.
The Baddeck Farmers Market focuses on providing the best Cape Breton and Nova Scotia sourced products for its customers. Our market is proud to feature local farmers, bakers, specialty food vendors and artisans. Shoppers can purchase grain-fed meats, locally harvested fish, fresh garden produce, plants and herbs, jams, German breads, honey, maple syrup, wild mushrooms and a wide array of handcrafted wares. Our artisans create pottery, jewelry, photography, woven clothing, unique woodworks, patterned handcrafted soap, dolls and local themed books.
Stop in, enjoy local music and eat a delicious lunch. Our market highlights the best of local Cape Breton culture, including step dancers, fiddlers and singers. Sit at in our rest area and savor the tastes of Cape Breton seafood chowder with tea biscuits, German sausage, Nova Scotia cheese, cheesecakes, artisan pretzels, locally roasted coffee.
The Baddeck Farmers Market has ample free parking and is readily accessible for all types of travellers including bus tours, campers and larger vehicles. Conveniently located in the Village of Baddeck, steps away from lodging and retail shops. The Bras dOr Lake is within view from our market venue.
Market day is an exciting time for vendors, entertainers, visitors and local residents. Come for a visit, stay for lunch, shop for food and gifts and listen to local entertainment. Admission is free we look forward to seeing you on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the market!
