About

The Big Intervale Fishing Lodge is located along the banks of the pristine Margaree River on Cape Breton Island, 19 kilometres (12 miles) off the Cabot Trail.

Our cabins are nestled under towering maple trees and nestled between the lush, rolling hills of the Margaree Highlands. We offer salmon and trout fly-fishing along the Margaree River. Quality local guides and a tack shop are nearby. Enjoy the many walking and hiking trails, as well as cross-country ski trails and snowmobiling in the winter months. While staying with us, explore the legendary Cabot Trail and our island’s salt water beaches.

Our accommodations include 2 two-bedroom cottage and 1 duplex cabin with two double beds or one queen-size bed, 3-piece bath, satellite TV, and free wifi. Our lodge features a licensed dining room (open year-round) and lounge.

Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Cancellation Policy: Must cancel 48 hours prior to day of arrival for a refund of deposit  or to avoid a credit card change.
