The snowshoes come in a variety of sizes for all members of the family and can be borrowed free of charge for one week.
Equipment is housed at McConnell Library in Sydney but can picked up at any Cape Breton County library branch. Phone McConnell Library at 902-562-3161 for details or place a hold online.

The Victoria County Active Gear Loan Program in partnership with Naturally Active Victoria County, Nova Scotia Communities, Culture and Heritage, and Cape Breton Regional Library offers a variety of recreational equipment to library users for a one week loan period.

Pick-up on Victoria County Bookmobile or Victoria North Regional Public Library (Ingonish) can also be arranged by phoning the Baddeck Public Library.

Thousands of newspapers and magazines can be found in Press Reader on www.cbrl.ca Snowshoes (childrens and adult sizes) and trekking poles (for hiking or snowshoeing) are available from your library branch. Cross-country skis, poles, and boots can be borrowed from the Baddeck Library.
