Overlooking the Bras dOr Lake, Eileanan Brèagha (pronouced AY-len-an BREE-ah) is Cape Bretons first and only estate winery. Scottish Gaelic for beautiful islands, Eileanan Brèagha was named in homage to the owners Gaelic heritage and for the majestic view of the numerous small islands in the Bras dOr Lake, which can be seen from the property.
Situated on a 200-acre former homestead in Marble Mountain, the south-east exposure and moderate climate of the salt water Bras dOr Lakes allows for a longer growing season, while the marble and limestone in the soil provides a unique terroir that adds a distinct flavor to our collection of wines.
Tasting room open 10am-4pm daily during peak season, or by appointment. Stop in to sample and purchase some wine, or ask for a glass at local restaurants.
