Willow Retreat is an off-grid retreat with housekeeping cabin, camping cabin and campsite space. We generate all our own electricity from solar and micro-hydro sources. We are conveniently located for touring the Cabot Trail and Bras D’Or Lakes. Nestled against the Middle River Wilderness Area, the property offers a variety of hiking trails, from a gentle stroll down the lane to a challenging hike up the mountain. Meditate beside a waterfall, explore the organic gardens, or just lie back in the hammock and listen to the birdsong. The choice is yours at Willow Retreat.
About the accommodation:
Raven Cottage is our camping cabin, with twin beds, night tables, a reading table and stools, and a heater for those cooler evenings. Electric light is powered by the cottage’s own solar panels. The south-facing private deck is perfect for sunbathing! But that’s not all …. when you rent Raven Cottage, you also receive the keys to your own private bathroom, just a short walk across the lawn with shower, toilet and hand basin. It’s yours for the duration of your stay. Did I mention you can park your car right outside the cottage?
Hawthorn Camp and Blueberry Camp are our woodland campsites. These are unserviced, except for an outhouse for your comfort. Pick your spot among the trees, and let the gentle babble of the brook lull you to sleep. Parking space is available right next to the campsite area.
Retreat Stays are offered from time to time – check our website for details. Retreats include Meditation, Reiki treatments, Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) and more.
We’re ready to welcome you to Willow Retreat!
