Join the lively tintamarre procession before the noon cannon firing. A tintamarre is a lively and noisy Acadian parade that commemorates Acadian heritage and is a way to express pride for the Acadian identity. Free noisemakers will be provided!

Dive into the rich Acadian connections to Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site with our expert guides. Meet your Parks Canada Guide at De la Plagne House (yellow house) for this free walking tour!
Enjoy live performances featuring Acadian musicians in the Storehouse Tavern – 1-4pm
Mr. Duo with Marcel Lefort and Roger Boudreau
This Cape Breton based duo plays timeless hits from of high energy rock and roll, to country songs appropriate for round dancing or foxtrot! Roger Boudreau and Marcel Lefort are originally from Chéticamp, Cape Breton and began their musical journey with the group The Phantoms in Cheticamp.
Kimberley Fraser
Kimberley Fraser is a Cape Breton born pianist and fiddler who excels in both traditional folk and classical music.
Local vendors will also be on site from 11am to 3pm offering art, jewelry, and hand-knitted wares for purchase. All Acadian Day celebrations are included with general admission fees. Don’t miss out on Acadian Day celebrations!
