Breagh Kelly is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter majoring in Music in the Bachelor of Arts Community Studies program at Cape Breton University. The Glace Bay native has been performing extensively throughout the CBRM in recent years at a variety of venues and events including Crab Fest and Makin’ Waves, and productions at Cape Breton University, the Savoy Theatre, and The Highland Arts Theatre. Breagh’s performances and songwriting have been attracting attention resulting in an Ocean Wise award for an original climate change song, securing second place in the TD Music Moves Me Program, and writing a song for the Hawks Dream Field, “Everyone Gets to Play”, highlighting inclusion in sports. This is a topic important to Breagh as she is an active member of the Cape Breton Sledgehammers Para-Hockey Team. With a rich background in performing arts, sports, and community engagement, Breagh is making waves in both the music industry and the wider community. You won’t want to miss her set of classics, country and pop!
