Living History Days will take place four Friday afternoons in August (9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th), 2-4pm. These events will be a multi-sensory experience as community members acting as interpreters bring to life four different areas of the museum. The Boat Barn will be transformed into “Cecile Forest’s Tavern” set 1810. The School Room will be set in 1845 with teacher Thomas Wilson of Rocky Bay. The Kitchen will be set in 1900 where the interpreter can demonstrate domestic chores and methods of food preservation. The General Store will be set in 1949 giving opportunity for the shop keeper to discuss rationing and the shortage of goods during World War ll. Visitors will experience our costumed interpreters demonstrating what life was like in the selected time periods.
