Nathan Bishop MacDonald is an accomplished singer and songwriter who brings the Celtic tradition of his home to life for audiences across Canada through his music on guitar, bodhran, and whistle. Nathan’s song Merchant Marine was the theme song of the CBC drama On Convoy and has become a sing-along standard in the Canadian Celtic scene. His Americana-tinged song “Without You” received honourable mention in the International Songwriting Competition. Born in Sydney and raised in Glace Bay, Nathan was the primary songwriter and driving creative force behind the successful Canadian Celtic band, Celtae and currently performs his original Celtic songs with his sensational new band, Finlaggan.
