Pub Night at the Island Nest

Every year Cape Breton Island is included in 'Must See' or 'Must Travel To' lists and 2022 is no different.

One of our favourite parts of this hike is the sound of the river beside you as you wander through the forest and see the stunning mountains of the Highlands around you.

The North Highlands Nordic Ski Club (NHN) was founded in 1977 by a small group of enthusiastic cross country skiers who shared a love of winter and of the splendid scenery in the Northeast Highlands Area of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

We sent woodsman and instagrammer Chuck Wrathall to the northern tip of the island to explore and report back to us on Meat Cove!
